Get a website working for your small business
Since 1996, we've been helping businesses, nonprofits, and even cities present themselves to the world.
Here are some examples:
Scott Jung's Hair & Company
Not only is Scott Jung an experienced hair stylist and hair colorist, he's also a talented do-it-yourselfer. He built his Racine hair salon himself, and he wanted a website he could edit himself to showcase the salon and the Moroccanoil, Aquage, and Nexxus Phyto Organics products he carries.
Following the art deco look of Scott's logo, we put together a website incorporating enlargeable photos of his salon, his stylists and his hair products, as well as email forms for easy communication, and a page detailing the benefits offered to entrepreneurial stylists via his booth rental opportunity.
Java Jan Gourmet Coffee
After selling her gourmet coffees at local markets and community festivals for several years, Jan Antauer found a charming commercial space in Historic Dublin, Ohio for her full-service, independent coffee shop.
Both the store and her website needed a branded remodeling. We set Jan up with a custom-themed Content Management System so she can easily post news items, add links to cross-promote community businesses and organizations, and share her coffee knowledge.
Arcade Drivers School Inc.
Arcade has been a leader in Wisconsin driver education since 1950, but their website was wordy and outdated. Worse, they weren't receiving enrollment submissions properly.
We shined up their classic logo, shot some current photos, streamlined and optimized their copy, simplified their online forms, and created a rotating Flash banner. Now they get conversions nearly every day, and a Content Management System lets them edit their class schedules as necessary.
The Food Allergy Mama
Kelly Rudnicki has five kids, including a son with severe food allergies. Out of this experience, the suburban Chicago "Food Allergy Mama" authored a baking book of allergen-free recipes. It was published last October.
To create an online community around the food allergy issue and help introduce her book, we created her custom WordPress theme and MailChimp mailing list. Now, with no prior experience, Kelly runs the blog all by herself. At last check, she has attracted over 2,100 comments, 680 Twitter followers, and 660 email subscribers — and sold quite a few copies of her book.
After we added some features she requested, Kelly emailed:
First of all, a HUGE thank you for doing so much to improve my site and SO QUICKLY! WE are so grateful to have you and your expertise. Mike and I read through the list of everything you did and were astounded at how much you accomplished for us, and on a moment's notice. Thank you so much!!
KMR Partners, Inc.
KMR Partners manages direct marketing campaigns for an impressive client list. KMR president (and Kelly's husband) Mike Rudnicki was happy with his existing website, but not happy about engaging a Web design firm every time he needed to edit some copy. To solve this, we rebuilt the existing KMR Partners site to the letter inside WordPress. Now Mike can revise his site at will, while staying consistent with its original design theme.
Mike posted this recommendation on LinkedIn:
Mark has done a fantastic job for both my company as well as my wife's company Food Allergy Mama, Inc. He is an expert in his field and has been a very valuable partner. I would recommend Mark for any of your web design and development needs.
